Cordierite is one kind of refractory material that with the lowest expansion coefficient. Cordierite stone is burned in 2192℉ kiln , it can stand temperature as high as 1400℉, and would not crack under thermal shock. Our stones can be used in oven or on grill directly,they are FDA(USA), RoHS(EU), LFGB(Germany), etc certificated.
